Penton is seeking a Custom Publications Graphic Designer to join the Delicious Living team in the Boulder, CO office.
Delicious Living is the leading monthly healthy lifestyle magazine read by more than one million consumers, featuring in-depth stories, informative articles, product reviews, and more.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain quality, consistency, integrity and evolution of design; keep abreast of industry design trends
- Design and production of existing custom publications; design new publications and presentations as needed; develop and maintain efficient designs, templates, and schedules to accommodate several publications
- Assist with acquisition of art for each issue; work directly with stock photo companies and artists; order hi-resolution images and manage related invoices
- Color corrections, photo manipulation, preparation of final digital images
- Develop and maintain design templates and libraries
- Maintain quality, consistency, integrity and evolution of design; keep abreast of industry design trends
- Manage production process including but not limited to line corrections, routing, preparation of final digital files
- Review proofs, make changes, and prepare final files for Production
Position Qualifications:
- College degree in Graphic Arts and 3+ years experience in the same or related field
- Samples of previous work required for consideration
- Good eye for color, composition, and content; fine eye for quality
- Magazine and color print knowledge
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
