Spending part of her childhood in Brazil, Cecile Coin has an international background. She received her BA in International Business in 1996 from The University of the West of England, Bristol, UK.


Cecile worked for Alain Charles Publishing, a London-based publishing company specialised in B to B publications for Africa and the Middle East, from 1997 to 2002. She then worked for Alain Charles Publishing as an exclusive freelancer in France, from 2003 to 2010. Cecile is now working for Jeune Afrique, a Paris-based publishing company specialising in business magazines for Africa, as a non-exclusive freelancer in the South of France, Provence.
